Food is served seasonally in An Trá Búi, also known as Holmes’ of Doohoma, so it is wise to contact them beforehand – this relates to both the bar food and to the restaurant. The food in both is delicious, including mouthwatering steaks and scrumptious seafood! Looking across to Ballycroy National Park and to Achill Island, there is a wonderful view from Holmes’, which has a long history in the village. An Trá Buí is renowned for its traditional music sessions. This is a great place to soak up the many interesting artefacts which hang on the walls, or to sit and relax beside the roaring turf fire.
